The easiest way to get Dry Sift is to bounce your frozen buds on a screen or in a Dry Sift box. 

Most Cannabis producers have a system of capturing Dry Sift from buds after they are dried and cured.  Moving dried buds will knock off trichomes. 

Wet trimming cannabis saves the trichomes, dry trimming knocks them off.

Cured cannabis can be screened in a box at home and the trichomes are captured to make hash or edibles later.
