Making Classical Hashish

Making Classical Hashish

There are several ways of making Hashish. This is a take on the classical way to make hash. Hash has its own terpene called Hashishene, that is created in the process and gives Hash its distinctive smell and taste. It is Decarbolized and therefore if eaten you get high!

Water Hash by contrast is not heated so its not decarbalized and therefore if you eat it you don’t get high. Water Hash is pure Trichomes washed together, this product produces THCA, CBDA, CBGA, depending upon the strain.

This is the purest way of making concentrates.

This book was a great resource! See our photo journal below for making pressed hashish.

Start with Kief, dried and jarred

4 frozen green plants treated with dry ice resulted in over 100 grams of kief

Jar the kief till you are ready to use it.

Get materials together

Create cellophane packages with a teflon backing

Funnel the kief into the packages, pack the kief in tight.

Wrap the packages tightly and make them watertight

Label them, wrap them in paper and use painters tape to seal them up

Soak the packages in water for an hour

Steam them like dumplings over a medium heat for 20 minutes

Roll them with a preheated rolling pin for 10 minutes, flipping the packages every 2 minutes to get even rolling.

Clamp them together and let the heat and pressure transform the kief into Hash!

Press for 30 minutes

Cool the packages after pressing.

If they get too hot the Hash turns into oil and can seep out.

Notice the edges of right hand packages.
