This Experiment was chosen to see if the Technique of placing the plants in the dark for 3 days before wet trimming had any effect on Cannabinoid production compared to plants wet trimmed right from the flower room.

Will dark days increase cannabinoid levels?

Four pairs of clones were grown under identical conditions. The first set was harvested with no days in the dark. The second set was placed in the dark for an additional three days before harvest.

The results are very interesting. Three strains showed consistent results but the Hash Plant was a flyer!

The Super Silver, Wedding Cake and Pink Kush all came in very close in each pair. This validates the data and, If that was it, the trend would be obvious. 

These three strains all show that THC levels were actually LESS after days in the dark, varying from two to six percent BELOW the samples that did not get any dark days. 

And then there’s the Hash Plant. The Dark Days sample tested almost 13% higher than the No Dark sample. I call this a flyer because it does not fit the trend of the other three. I have no explanation. 

Ah, science. But you gotta embrace the data. 

The more consistent samples all say that Dark Days do NOT increase cannabinoid levels but actually decrease them.

Majority rules!

There will be no more Dark Days for the Continuous Garden.
